During the pandemic in 2020, a small group of mission-driven Hmong women professionals from various parts of the United States came together via Zoom to co-create the Vivncaus Mentoring Program (VMP) as a collaborative project among Hmong Women Today, Givers of Dreams Organization, and the English Enrichment Center in Luang Prabang. Within 3 years, we have impacted 65 young rising leaders, provided 60 hours of personal empowerment training, 645 hours of mentorship, and awarded $8,800 in scholarships.
As of 2023, we have expanded this mentorship program to include the ambassadors project, laptop loaner project, leadership development curriculum, English curriculum, Life Discussion Series, and social networking events. A passionate and dedicated core team of 15 members, 45 mentors, community donors like you, and the US Embassy Vientiane Small Grant have made the program's success possible. Together, we have impacted the lives of many young women who represent the hopes and dreams of their parents.
The impact witnessed through the mentorship program is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Our dedication to empowering the next generation of leaders has inspired us to expand our programs to include a conference, a Kwv Tij Mentoring Program (KMP), service projects, and study abroad sponsorship.
With this growth comes a need for more resources, which is why we're proud to announce the formation of Seeds4Hope in April 2023 as our new nonprofit organization.
We invite you to come along with us on this mission in whichever way inspires you the most; whether that be by mentoring the people we serve; sharing your expertise to guide us; helping us plan and shape this organization, or donating your financial resources. Together, we close the opportunity gap for our young rising leaders in Southeast Asia to achieve their full leadership potential and contribute to a more just, equitable, and sustainable world.
If you are interested in collaborating with us in any other way, please email me for a discovery call.
Seeds4Hope is a global team of mission-driven people working together to create a better world by helping young people develop their capabilities and capacities as leaders. We believe that young people are the future leaders of their communities and countries; therefore, their empowerment is a critical factor in poverty reduction as well as fostering social and economic development.
We believe that investing in developing leaders is the key to creating thriving communities. As a result, our purpose is to cultivate a culture of leadership that values international connection, collaboration, and community while empowering people to realize their full potential.
We are stronger and better together. By welcoming and appreciating the unique talents and resources each person brings to the table, we can leverage them to achieve our common goals.
We work together to achieve a shared vision through effective communication, trust, and mutual respect.
We honor our unique self and others without any sense of competition or comparison.
Our mission is to empower young people worldwide to see themselves as leaders by providing personal leadership development training, mentorship, and opportunities for advancement.
We envision a world where every individual has the opportunity to develop their full leadership potential and contribute to a more just, equitable, and sustainable world.
